About Me
Who is Neil Wilde?
I'm a professional singer/songwriter, musician and entertainer with 30 years under my belt.
I come from Drighlington in West Yorkshire, and I'm proud of it.
I have performed to audiences in America, the Middle East, Germany, France and Switzerland, and wherever else the cause has taken me!
I've met plenty of famous people (and been invited to perform alongside them on many occasions) and made a lot of friends on my travels. I look forward to making many more.
I'm constantly touring the countrys festivals and concerts with my one-man show (featuring funny imitations of everyone from Jerry Lee to Bob Marley, Elton John and many more).
While naming my original influences as Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley, I soon became aware of and inspired by the boogie woogie greats and have created my own inimitable style.
I have a great bunch of original material under my hat and an ability to stun audiences by pounding the piano boogie woogie style with any implement at hand (coat-hangers, paint rollers, you name it!). My ability to create a breathtaking show is something else.
I'm not the standard pianist in a crisply starched suit playing background music that most people expect. If you want your party to go with a bang then I'm your man, contact me here.
A brief biography
Born in Morley Yorkshire, I went professional at the tender age of 17 and was soon making a name for myself with my own brand of boogie woogie, blues and rock'n'roll.
For the last 33 years I've had a fantastic time travelling around the world performing and making people happy.
I did a 16 day tour of the middle east with Showaddywaddy in 1984 and then following years of regular travel throughout Scandinavia I settled in Norway in 1991 where I worked in TV and radio, had a recording contract and was described as "Norway's best kept secret".
I have lived in Spain, Sweden and the USA for periods of time and I have toured extensively throughout most of Europe. I've now returned to my roots and reside in England
